Then cover it up with some spraycan primer and Duplicolor spraypaint. May not look perfect, but getting the rust to stop is most important. Rust is like CANCER. Some primers are penetrable by water, therefore priming the part won't really make much difference. Edit: shit. I just looked at the date of this thread. My bad.
