Bumpers i understand, and your doing the whole front (fenders & hood) everything else can be masked off, I just dont see the point, i find disasembly & reassembly unecessary and you risk breaking rusted bolts, bending fenders and so forth. Just a suggestion. My neighbor like yours was a body man, and did many cars in his garage, never once did he take anything off and paint it, and he recommended that i didn't do it either.
