Is this normal?

I got new struts put on in the rear, Monroe Sensatracs. I also have TGP wheels and 215 width tires on them. Is it normal, with two people in the backseat and moderate load in the trunk, for the tires to rub on the wheel-wells? I couldn't go around turns without this really terrible grinding noise from the rear tires. It did it worse when the struts were shot, but I thought it'd go away when they were replaced.

I would say no. I've had heavy weight in the trunk, and 4 heavier people in the back a couple times, and I have no rubbing, but I guess my car is totally different from yours anyway.

Only time I've had rubbing is when the wheel wells got full of ice in spring time...man that sounded cool driving to school with grinding for 3 miles :?

Anyway, I'm still gonna say that shouldn't be happening
