i dunno shawn I think they are. If you look at the pic below they look awfully close in my '94 4dr Cutty as they do on my grandma's '88 Cutty International Coupe. What'd ya think?

Hmmm, after comparing pics of the two, I don't think they're the same shape. Similar, but the 4dr has more curve on the upper rear corner.

Nah, I searched Ebay and compared the pics there too.

I've just always wanted that part to light up on my car. The 2dr light is chromed on the inside of the clear plastic while the 4dr light has a clear lens and the inside of the housing is chromed. On the 4dr light, it would be possible to drill holes to put LEDs and make that part light up. On the 2dr, that's not possible. Even if I could cut it open and strip the chrome paint, the inside housing is full of holes where mounting tabs go through.

Oh well, just wasn't a workable idea.

Surprisingly, headlights are the same. It's the corner lights I'm talking about that are different. As for why they're different... well, the fenders, tails, hood, trunk, bumper covers, header panel, and pretty much the entire car is completely different so it's not really surprising.

I've even heard Grand Prix fenders are different between 2dr and 4dr even though they appear to be completely the same.
