eclipse5302
"When the Cadillac Allante was introduced, the 440 would not handle the torque of the V-8, so a special version known as the F-7 was developed. It included special sprockets, heavy duty final drive, special fourth clutch, etc. A rare but solid transmission if you can find one." Anyone know anything about this? GnatGoSplat
I've read that too, but if it's so rare only being found in early Allante's, do you really want it? It would need parts for repair, eventually!
eclipse5302
Well, I did a search on car-part.com for the 87 allante, and it wanted to know "early or late". So am I looking for the early or late one? Also, the 88+ are different than the 87s. Jason
