Ok...here is how I have the stock air box and a K&N filter...

http://www.netavalanche.com/kenny/ek_2_4.jpg shows that I have taken a Fram air filter and completely removed all of the filter paper. This is to allow the upper air box cover to seal to the lower. If you don't put something in here it will allow dirty air in! I used the Fram Filter because I know it has the wire mesh to properly hold the seal in place. The reason I did this is because I don't like the idea of just putting a filter on the crankcase breather. It seems to me that the PCV is closed off when the intake plenum is under boost. If you do not have vacuum in the crank-case for extended periods of time...I would think this could cause a problem. When the front crank case vent is hooked to the intake system you will always have a vacuum in the motor removing the gases. Just my $ .02

http://www.netavalanche.com/kenny/ek_3_5.jpg as you can see in this picture that the entire stock intake system is utilized to the cubby hole wall.

http://www.netavalanche.com/kenny/ek_4_6.jpg shows how the custom machined K&N adapter comes through the cubby wall.

http://www.netavalanche.com/kenny/ek_7.jpg this is the K&N filter that I use and the adapter that allows it to be used.

The only issues you will run into is this filter that I used was too large in diameter to fit under the relay control center. I had another cubby hole wall from my Grand Prix SE parts car that I cut the hole lower for a more clean look. I am sure if you use a smaller diameter or an oval filter your stock hole location will work fine. The other thing is that the headlight relay center had to be unbolted and tucked back up into the fender well to make more room. I am in the process of having a muffler shop custom bend me a 3.5" pipe that will run in place of the stock air intake system, and use a K&N filter on the end of it in the cubby. It has a grommet in place for the stock crank-case breather to be utilized and a 2" port in place to plumb my BOV exhaust into the line. It will be insulated to reduce the amount of heat that gets to the intake air, thus being a cold air intake... 8)

I can make you a MANDREL bent intake if you come down to loveland. i can also get it powdercoated for next to nothing. I have a hookup on filters as well.

Question, what size inlet is on the turbo? 3", 2.5"...

I got my K&N and my girlfriends for free from NAPA. My stepmom works there and my dad has connections too. He got a Edlebrock 750CFM carb for his regal for half priice
