Just bought these wrenches from Eric's True house of Value, I have had a few sets of these for a while now just wanted to add some more. Next time I go out to my Dad's place I'll take some pictures of my tool box but this is what I have here for now. Got what you see here in the photo for $130 pretty reasonable I think. I don't even recognize some of the tools, I'll post a picture later, maybe someone can help me recognize the tools! EDIT: Got the pics the seller had for the ad. Sure hope this is what is arriving at my house today! It came just as described. I have: J-38688 Clutch Alignment Arbor J-38613 Camshaft Timing Clamps (2 sets) J-38756 Oxygen Sensor Wrench J-38619 Camshaft & Intermediate Shaft Seal installation tool J-38606 Valve Spring Compressor J-38612 Crankshaft Sprocket Installer J-38611 Crankshaft Sprocket Puller Legs J-38616 Camshaft and intermediate Shaft Sprocket (Puller?) J-38621 Tool set storage case The only thing missing from the kit is J-38786, the oil pressure sender wrench. All tools were indeed unused, except for one set of the cam timing tools. Definitely worth way more than $85.00. In fact, I found all the tools I got online, the total was $1089.00, not including the second set of cam timing tools, and the missing oil sending wrench. I'm putting a cam belt on my LQ1, and the homemade hold down I read about on 60 degree v-6 didn't work well for me. The seller wanted $120.00 for the set, but had a "make an offer" deal. I couldn't believe he took $85.00--just the hold downs are worth twice that new! BTW, now is an excellent time to get these tools. A lot of GM dealerships have closed, and Ebay sellers are buying the tools for pennies on the dollar, and reselling them. It's the only way I could have afforded these. Now I can put my Cutlass back together--it's been parked for a month. I have a VHS of a LQ1 tear-down and rebuild and a lot of those tools look familiar! Be forewarned, these tools are not pretty. Nor is the toolbox. Or my garage for that matter. These tools are in most cases 20+ years old and have been used heavily. So they are dirty and worn. Snap-On is definately more popular down in the States I'm assuming. Their ratchets are the best ones money can buy IMO. And my IR titanium 3/8 and 1/2 impacts pack a big punch in a lightweight gun. Once I get my new box I will have to snap pics. I do agree some of their stuff is just ridiculous, but like I said their ratchets are worth their weight in gold. I love my 80 tooth 1/2 with soft grip handle when doing cam/toe eccentrics on alignments. I also have their long handle metric combination wrenches that are great, but very expensive ($449!) Yeah, and you will never destroy one of those wrenches. Youll be hard pressed to break the ratchet as well. And yes guys, wrenches do break.. One of our techs are the downtown Elyria store just broke several knuckles when his 22m wrench broke while trying to get a rear toe eccentric cam to move on a car he was aligning. The wrench was a Craftsman. I will take my overprices Snap-On tools any day for wrenching at work. At home, I have no problem using elcheapos cause if something breaks (ive broken tons) I can head to Autozone down the block and get a new one. Cant do that kinda crap at work.
