I work at advance auto parts, our store DOeS NOT scan OBD1, OBD1.5 (OBD1 with flash) or OBD2, we direct all of our customers to Autozone but they only read 96+ (OBD2). i know there are a few advance auto parts storeds out there that does scan but they only scan OBD2.

the oreilly's around here scan 1.5...I did my car....check oreilly's

WTF?!?!? O'Reilly's around here won't do shit! I asked them to pull the codes on the LTZ one time, and they were like 'we leave that to the professionals at the dealership" and I was like WTF?!?! So I drove up to AutoZone and they were glad to help me/subsequently get my business..

you need to find a snap on scan tool from a mechanic, and have the insert cartriage that says "Thru 99" and you should be all set. you need to cartiage with the part number

MT25001099. I have the cartriage itself sitting here in my lap, so find a guy with a snap on scanner and the cartriage with the correct serial number.
