lets see here.... finding the parts was the first challenge what i can remember....

about $600 between 2 284s and mostly complete swap setups, with a brand new clutch thrown in.

$285 for a new slave cyl

$20 for a bracket

$15 for front engine mount bracket

$25 in syncromesh

$30 for new axle seals

$25 for a shifter, boot, etc, and 2 perfect shift cables

so whatever that is plus what i have forgotten, so yeah too much.

$1,000 according to that !!

Yep, I got to drive it also. The 3.4 behind a 5 speed is much different than behind an auto. BTW, damn the Lumina seats for not being able to go up all the way. My short ass legs could barely press the clutch pedal enough!

I must say, took a ride with Chris last night and man, the 3.4 has balls now, it just pulls great for what it is!

Also it looks factory, which that's pretty kick ass. Great job Chris! :high5:

Wait, whats wrong with your seat?

nothing as far as i can tell, just with the manual i have to have the seat more forward now so i can shift gears easier and fully depress the clutch.

i'm only five feet eight and a half inches tall and i don't have any problem with the clutch, even with the seat all the way back

Definately not saying the clutch was hard to push in, it was more of the struggle reaching the pedal.

Real question- How do you even get the body up like that when dropping the powertrain down?
