    If you were to learn the location of the EEPROM that stores the milage you could likely swap them between boards if your soldering skills are good.

    Honestly, I don't know. I know it goes into the dash harness, but even with all the ABS fuses pulled I still had a few constant hots.

    You'd have to rip the whole harness apart and remove everything from that PMIII relay center. there are other important wires in there so you cant just cut it up wholesale. When I did it on August's car I just cut the harness back to a point and put shrink wrap over the constant hots that were left

    Honestly till you mentioned those issues i've never been aware of them the 284 in my car is probably fairly worn. I have absolutely no idea how many miles are on this unit, it leaks oil from places unknown, it sounds like a rock tumbler. But I can't say I'm aware of any shimmy issues. I'll have to pay more attention next time I'm out in it.

    The one on the floor is just the starter safety switch. there is another one at the top of the pedal. it cancels cruise control and tells the ECM if the clutch is in or out.

    For his situation I believe I recommended the 91' BCFA calibration for the sake that it does not look for the clutch position switch that the 92/93 cars have. I think in talking to him in earlier threads he wasn't going to be able to add that switch or something to that effect with his swap. 92' Brought in the clutch position switch... not sure of its exact name. but its just an additional switch at the top of the clutch pedal that tells the ECM if the clutch in or not. It keeps the revs from falling face down when you go to shift, it helps driveability.

    Here's where I stand. NEEEED inside a 2 hour radius of my place (Erie fits the bill) and i'll probably only be able to make a day trip out of it. so that said, if its in Toledo or whaever thats fine. but this is a pretty insane year for me.
  12. Also, ~25 years on I'm sure that GM hasn't made a engine mount in ages now. More then likely any ACDelco branded engine mount is just a reboxed Pioneer, Anchor or DEA mount. Also transmission mount wise there is NO 284 transmission mount made by anyone, for any price, though a aftermarket 282 mount is supposed to work, so I'm told. I guess I could compare the 282 mount I have to a 284 mount. I put a solid rubber one in my z34 nearly 10 years ago. No regrets.
