Daggar Posted July 3, 2007 Report Share Posted July 3, 2007 While checking all my wires and connections to the pcm I saw the cover for the chip was missing and was covered with duct tape. Since I bought the car used I figured that the previous owner probably did it. I tore off the tape and I saw there was a hypertech chip installed. Do you think that this is probably why my car has always run so bad? Also if it's a bad chip to have in there.. what should I replace it with?
