Phantom Misfire, Ahhh!

LOL at that post about a dirty EGR not causing a miss. They get stuck open and release exhaust gas into the cylinders at idle, causing a lean misfire. All you need is some carb cleaner, a tooshbrush, and new EGR gaskets. Just spray inside the ports and try to clean out the black junk. Also check the injector by removing it and running 12 volts through while checking the current draw, multimeter in series. Sometimes an injector will look fine for resistance, but draw more current once it starts actually working. DON'T DO IT FOR MORE THAN A FEW SECONDS, you may damage the injector.
