I'm looking at a 12" XXX series sub DVC w. 2 ohm voice coils. Its rated at 1600W RMS, 2500 MAX.

I'm basically looking for a sub to stand up behind my Alphasonik High current 2900W mono block.

Anyways, I'm just looking for opinions etc.

Thanks

Have alook here and all your questions will be awnswerd......

There are hundreds if not thousands of people that swear by the Resonant Engineering product. I personally have never used their products because their subwoofers do work best when you have an ample amount of power on hand to drive them.

And here is a good read on some independant tests that were done on some of the top level subwoofers on the market.

Looks like the Diamond Audio D9 maybe the new leader in SQ????

Looks like from the Diamond Audio got crushed by the W-7 in those articles :?

I cant believe nobody has even got close to the W-7. reading those articles makes you realize how nothing else even compares or comes close. And JL has everything patented, so it will stay that way.

When I first took my w-7 13.5 out of the box in Feb. 2002 my jaw dropped to the floor. They said I was the first person in town to buy one and maybe the first person on the west side of the country. I still to this day cant find a more bad ass woofer.

Then seeing how it got first place in listening sound quality tests, and at the same time hits lower than anyone else, and does it in a sealed enclosure the best, AND stays linear and clean as a whistle with NO distortion. That must be why they call it a gift from God.

As for the tripple x, I am not trusting that product, if they refuse to tell you the specs on those subs, they are hiding something. If they refuse to offer a warranty "due to the extreme nature" . Extreme wallet dammage may occure WARNING!

I think I'm going to try the XXX dual 2. From what I've read, sounds like it'll match up with the power I'll be feeding it while still maintaining decent SQ.
