Removing panels

Okay yes im new just bought a 1995 green grand prix se. Cd player is being gay im planning on buying a new one but i just need to know how to remove the panel around it to access the HU.

Do you have a center console?

 

If you do, you have to remove the upper console to get to the screws that hold the radio trim in place. In order to get the upper console out, you need to first remove the shift knob. Look for a little "horseshoe" clip on the front of the knob, and pry it out with a small screwdriver. After the clip's out, the knob lifts right off of the lever.

 

To get the upper console out, open the armrest lid, and pull up around the perimiter of the upper console. It helps to put the shifter in low to get the console away from the shifter. Now that the upper console's out of the way, follow the radio trim up under the dash (there's 2 grooves in it, and that's where the screws are.) Pop the screws out, and you're good to go...
