is it hard to change a heater core?

there not to bad if you have a hoist..... you pull it out through the fire wall..... but its right @ the bottom of the fire wall so you need to get @ it from the bottom....

book pays 5.5 hours labor, I have done it in 3 hours

I've done it on my cutlass from inside the car.On cutlass supremes, I think thats the only way you can do it. What you need to do is take out your center console (if you have one), then take off like one or two panels under the center of the dash , and you will be looking at the core. It's really tight up there and hard to work in but it's doable.

The lines that went through the firewall may need to be replaced depending on wether or not your replacment core has the same fittings, and you will not know that until you have the old one out of the car. The tubes get attached to the core with snaprings (I hate them). The whole thing took me about 3 hours. Good luck
