There should be holes in the subframe where the mount bolts down. Right around where the control arm bolts on (the front mounting point).

The Auto Tranny Mount in my 1992 Cutlass is of course diffrent than the 282 Tranny Mount

I have a OEM GM 282 Tranny Mount but my question is because the mounting location is diffrent how have you guys whom have bone the swap gone about modifing the Auto Mount location..... :?

I have the factory GM 1989 Service manual and it shows the location and a differing STD tranny mount location on the frame....its a small diagram but i think it looks like it is welded there?????

anyway i need some advice on this ASAP

thanks guys

Dave

the Getrag 282 tranny mount does not use that big metal bracket that the automatic tranny mount uses. the Getrag 282 mount simply bolts to the tranny, and then the 2 studs in the mount poke right thru into the subframe. your subframe will have holes there, no worries :)
