Does anyone know if the steering wheel out of a 02 grand prix can fit in the 99

The steering wheel with red is from the 02 and the one in the car is from 99. I prefer the new style cuz these old ones are infamous for splitting in the middle like mine and I’d like to swap them. Or if I can I’d like to just swap the airbag since the red one has cracks and wear on it,

Physically it will fit. The thing I don't know about is if there is any difference in the wiring connectors for the steering wheel controls. I've seen this done before, but I don't know how easy of a swap it is. You might be able to swap the air bag, but there might be fitment issues with the button areas.
