My 1992 Cutlass Supreme Convertible with the 3.1L sits in the garage and is driven on occasion. Suddenly the car doesn’t want to start. Usually fires up right away. I checked the fuel pressure at the rail and it’s at 38 PSI, right in the 34-47 PSI normal range. I swapped out the ignition control module with a new one and the coils tested good - still no start with a good crank. Ideas? Crankshaft position sensor? There’s no fuel in the vacuum lines coming from fuel pressure regulator. So strange it started fine one day and a week later it won’t start after just sitting! cutlassman Posted October 29, 2023 Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2023 I swapped out the fuel injectors with reman Rochesters, but the no-start problem was likely caused by the frayed pigtails on this injector harness.
