chris2022 Posted September 22, 2022 Report Share Posted September 22, 2022 Actually I know it's been done. Was even told it's very straitforward (?). My 98 GP GT's tranny is long for this world. It started shifting hard, changed the fluid (Castrol Transmax) and filter, but it still misbehaves (but not all the time). Contemplatimg changing it again with Delco Type III-h, as it's the most (current) official fluid you can get. Maybe even throwing in the Lucas. Don't have high hopes though. So I want to utilize the motor. Runs great, 188k. The 3400 in the Venture is toast. Both cats use the same tranny as I understand it. Would love to get feedback, possibly or likely issues, etc. I've never swapped a motor but it isn't brain surgery exactly. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
