jiggity76
Maybe Jimmyfloyd would know but does anyone else know what bulb GM used for the back lighting on these radios? Some of mine are burned out and looking for replacements. Thanks!

pwmin
probably a little late, but http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/56992-5-steering-wheel-control-light-fix/ I've done this to various electronics before. I'm going to have to do this for my GP. These are similar to what I've used before. Too bad you can't just go to Radio Suck anymore and pick them up. I used 50 mA bulbs, but these might work: https://www.amazon.com/HOTSYSTEM-Indicator-Speedometer-Backlight-Lighting/dp/B00RZ4YRS0/ref=pd_lpo_60_t_1/134-2312371-2069036?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00RZ4YRS0&pd_rd_r=cd16fc24-3114-4f09-a6cd-4a836d823ce7&pd_rd_w=LWFze&pd_rd_wg=mT4Ww&pf_rd_p=7b36d496-f366-4631-94d3-61b87b52511b&pf_rd_r=DPGE2N01YQ72VFXXZJFE&psc=1&refRID=DPGE2N01YQ72VFXXZJFE I'm not sure if these would work: https://www.amazon.com/Deezio-GY6-35-Halogen-Lumens-4-Pack/dp/B077X3FWQY/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=50ma+12v+pin+lamp&qid=1606936026&sr=8-1 Edited December 2, 2020 by pwmin jiggity76

pwmin
Some of them might have blue bases, but those top ones should work. I ended up ordering some like the first ones from Grainger because they would show up before the ones on Amazon and there's a pickup location just up the street. My hands are not steady at all, so it's pretty difficult for me to get the old ones out and the new ones back in.
jiggity76
I just want to make sure they are the correct shade of blue or greenish to match the rest of my dash lights. I think they have a filter behind them to illuminate the right color but still want to make sure.
pwmin
The stock bulbs sometimes have a little condom on them to change the color. The newer ones don't use them.
