grandprix104 Posted October 14, 2003 Report Share Posted October 14, 2003 Its a black collar with a yellow center and black ring around it. it says not to removeit without reading the service manual for how to line it back up. however it already has a mark on it. it looks to be attached with a c-clip so i gues ill revove that. jesse Posted October 16, 2003 Report Share Posted October 16, 2003 I was going to tell you about that yesterday but this reply page would not load. looks as though you got it apart and back together. Hope it it alright, what you are refering to is called the airbag coil. center it by depressing the spring lock, rotate the hub in the direction of the arrow until it stops, then turn back 2 1/2 turns and release the spring lock. The airbag coil should be centered with the marks aligned and the tab fitted between the projections on the top of the steering column.
