haywire4130 Posted August 21, 2003 Report Share Posted August 21, 2003 hello again, just wanted to put in my 2 cents on the rear addco sway bars for w bodies. (#474). if you plan on installing one, summit racing sells them (special order 3 weeks delivery time). before you install it, do yourself a favor and cut a half inch off each end, it was rubbing the back of the knuckles, and it was a pain to cut the hardened steel with it mounted in the car. also, the stock bar mounts are flimsy as hell, which limits the bar's effectiveness. i am in the process of making some billet stainless steel hangers to stiffen it up more, maybe i'll make a few extras in case anyone else has the same problem. still, the bar is highly recommended, and makes a world of difference, i can take rotaries and on ramps at 65+ before the tires broke loose, with almost no body roll! (this is with the stock 225/60/16's!). i installed it on my girl's 92 grand prix, so these problems may be typical to this car. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
