hoodilio Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 my exhaust has developed somewhat of a greyish/whiteish color to it, might just be my emajination, but if it isn;t what could it be and how could i prevent it, i got a 1993 Cutlass S Coupe 3100v6. Quote
mfewtrail Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 notice any loss of coolant lately? Check your coolant level and check to see if your oil looks like chocolate milk(what it looks like when coolant mixes w/ oil). Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 White/grey smoke usually means coolant is getting into the combustion chamber especially if the exhaust smells "sweet". Could be a number of things, headgasket, cracked head... Do a compression check, and look at the oil as well. Quote
