THe_DeTAiL3R Posted November 13, 2005 Report Share Posted November 13, 2005 I have no idea if you can take the cover off easily, might need special tools I dunno.. but probably one of the easier (and more time consuming) things to do would be to take the entire steering column out. DiscoStudd Posted November 13, 2005 Report Share Posted November 13, 2005 Well different column, but I painted the column in my 95 Regal (boneyard column that was the wrong color.) I roughed up the surface with 180 grit and shot it with PlastiKote touch-up paint. It's held up nicely for 2 years. Oh yeah, the column was out of the car when I painted it... I had everything apart, wheel off, but I couldn't find an easy way to remove it. I ended up just wrapping it with matching vinyl....which was supposed to be temporary but has been there for almost a year because im lazy. I hope someone knows how to take that thing off.
