Can I weld a piece of steel on top of the section where the mounts go? Then cut a hole in the steel for the bolt's? IM using 1/4 steel plates + a MIG welder and new mounting h\w! good idea or not? I do not want to get rid of my 1990 STE :bawl: :bawl: I would rather lose her for other reason's like to be Completely Destroyed by some other idiot on the road & live to tell about it!

Thanks: I have two to fix one on a 89 se with a 5 speed and my STE. I looked at it to night it look like it would work 1/4 or 1/8 of an inch steel plate would work fine. I replaced the bushings for the front two. I found that you need four rubber bushing four washers one on top and bottom on each side & for the back I think it's same but different part numbers but all the bolts are the same 8)

Thanks Jeff
