GnatGoSplat
Anyone know how to tighten up the throttle on a '94 3.4 DOHC? It's so loose I can't even feel myself pressing on the pedal.
Guest Anonymous
Maybe the cable is stretched from someone trying to push the pedal through the floor. I actually don't think it's adjustable.

I don't think it's loose from slack because the throttle moves, it just has no springiness at all.
Guest Anonymous
Is it real bad? Check the spring on the back of the pedal arm where the cable connects. If it's wore out or gone that would give some slack. Also the arm in the throttle body could be wearing out. MAYBE I don't even know if those wear out. Turn the throttle cam by hand and see how much spring back it has. Or disconnect the cable from the pedal and see how much spring it has to it. Not sure if I have any idea what I'm talking about as I have just got home from working midnights. I'm just trying to help you out.
