DaveFromColorado Posted September 12, 2004 Report Share Posted September 12, 2004 if it's an 88, and still has the 2.8 - I found from personal expirence that anything larger then 2.25 (2 1/4") exhaust does nothing for performance, and will just waste gas. I tried this on my 88 Buick Regal. The engine doesn't generate enough exhaust to cause a restriction (when still using a catalytic converter) to warrant anything larger.
