bluecalais79 Posted Saturday at 01:02 PM Report Posted Saturday at 01:02 PM Is it possible to remove the upper dash pad (1994 CS coupe) without removing the side a-pillar covers? I'm afraid of breaking those clips that hold them in and would prefer to leave them intact. I note those pieces travel all the way to the B-pillar on each side of the car. My 2 front dash speakers are shot and I have a set of NOS ones to replace them. Quote
94 olds vert Posted Saturday at 09:53 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:53 PM (edited) I've removed the dash panel in both of my 1st gens at one point in time. I never had an issue with the A pillar clips breaking off. As far as I remember they need to be removed in order to get the dash out. As far I remember removing the top dash panel isn't that hard in these cars. Edited Saturday at 09:53 PM by 94 olds vert Psych0matt 1 Quote
bluecalais79 Posted 13 hours ago Author Report Posted 13 hours ago Thanks for the note. As an update, those speakers in the dash are working. I have one of those dash designs dashboard covers that as it turns out was all but eliminating the sound coming out of those 2 speakers. So, looks like I get to fight that battle another day.............. rich_e777 and Psych0matt 2 Quote
rich_e777 Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago How do those dash covers look? I thought about getting one for mine to hide some cracks around the vent. Pulling one out was pretty straight forward once you see how the dash clips, I can see having a helper to put it back in though. Quote
bluecalais79 Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago I highly recommend those covers by Dash Designs. They kill the glare but buy a black one. Also, use some thin strips cut to one inch or so all the way on either side of the dash up by the windshield to hold it down. No need to use velcro anywhere elso, the thing stays put that way. Quote
