It's begun! - 2nd Gen W-Body 3800 5-speed F23 Swap

Hopefully you get a notification to see this since it's been so long but I'm thinking about trying this in the future once it's not my daily but do you have any idea how much it was to do this

Rough budget I’d expect 

$1000 for parts car 

$500 clutch (spec 2+/3+)

$300 flywheel (buy pre cut down and balanced from Fiero Rog in the Fiero Facebook groups) 

$200 fluids (trans fluid, coolant, oil etc) 

$200 clutch/flywheel bolts (GM tty bolts are pricey) 

$100-200 passenger side axle 
 

this doesn’t include any fabrication costs and any other “while you’re in there” costs  and assumes you are doing all of the labour  

I’m sure you can do it cheaper but id be budgeting up to $3,000 all said and done
