sean1991olds
Hi all, I have this:http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X370BT/Pioneer-MVH-X370BT-2014-Model.html And had it installed along with an amp/sub at a shop, but no matter what settings I seem to choose, I cannot get audio to come out of the rear speakers (yet they worked previously with another aftermarket stereo - however at that time I didn't have a sub in the picture).. Its as if the rear channel now only puts out audio to the sub. Is this the way it is for this model of deck? Is there a way around this? I'll have to wait to Monday to ask the shop more questions, at first I thought I just didn't know where to find the options on the deck, so didn't make any complaints at the time. Psych0matt
Go into the settings first and check that there's not some cutoff (or that it's not faded all to the front), otherwise sounds like they're unplugged or something. It's probably something stupid
Heartbeat1991
Something isn't right. Do you know what that unit has for preouts? Is it possible that the rear channel was used to power the subs only? How many amps are you running and what are they powering?
sean1991olds
The deck has a set of RCA preouts (2V). The amp is a 2 channel amp powering 1x subwoofer. I intended to have the 4 speakers powered by the deck. I played around in the settings and no matter what I can't get the rear speakers to come in at all. I feel like maybe the rear channel is powering the sub (but why?) or the wiring for the rear speakers are not hooked up. These are the odd settings I played with along with the fader... I tried em all but would have thought "rear/sub.w" would be the one to go with.
sean1991olds
Problem solved, in my field I'd say - have you tried restarting your computer?? In this case, they reset the deck (pin hole button behind face plate) - and rear speakers started working after "re-booting" the deck. They said if it happens again, think about sending the deck in for replacement. Thanks all!!
Nas Escobar
I'd purchase a better deck in the future, if funds allow. That is a basic Pioneer, hence why it doesn't have a dedicated subwoofer RCA cable. Even if you don't plan on running dual amps (speakers and subs) it's always good to have the 3 sets of RCA connections. Not to mention decks with that configuration have more setup options for all speakers.
sean1991olds
Agree on that, I used to spend big money on audio stuff, now I have to tame my cravings waha... I know a little about car audio but not enough - I was like, okay 2V preouts not bad, wasn't thinking about how many might be needed. I was also thinking, well a deck is a deck as long as it has the specs I'm looking for, but now I do find there are some limits to audio options in the menus. Some of my older decks had better options. Live and learn, in the end I've got this sounding really good considering the price that I paid. Mainly I got this deck because it got rave reviews and it was on a big deal at the time, "too good to be true" ha
