That's just the rubber grommet that carries the wiring to the in tank unit.

Damn, ok.  I was hoping for something easy if I had to replace the fuel pump.

No, it's not easy. It's not terrible but it's not easy.

That's what I've heard.  Anything for my baby!  If it needs to be changed than it will get done.

So I just got the new OEM hood latch and hood release cable installed and it's better but not 100%.  The cable release pulls good and the lever goes back into the home position like it's suppose to but the hood doesn't pop up like it's suppose to.  I have to grab the hood and lift it up until it catches and then release the secondary lever and then it opens.  Why isn't the hood popping up like my parts car one?  The parts car one is actually missing some of the hood bumpers and it works great.  the 91 car has all the hood bumpers and everything is complete but the hood just sits there when the lever is pulled.  Any ideas?  I've also adjusted the whole latch assembly on the rad support up and down with no results.

BTW, my son found a "DUAL TWIN CAM" engine cover that I bought a long while back for some reason I really can't fathom, if you're wanting one that isn't cracked...

That's awesome, thank you.  Can't afford it right now but if you can hang on to it, I can buy it from you soon when I get paid next.  I found one for my car but could always use another one as a back up.

I played around with the hood bumpers and latch assembly again and got the hood to pop up a little bit but I think that's the best it's ever gonna be.  I'm just happen the hood opens at all!  I might play around with it some more but want to work on the DIS and some other stuff first.  Car is coming along nicely I must say and I'm having fun!
