pontiac6ksteawd Posted March 16, 2021 Report Share Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) So by 95, they had dropped the 3.1, and replaced it for the 3100. The 3400 is also a viable option. You just have to determine which engine is correct for your application. The intake and head gaskets were a problem for the 3100/3400, so just watch out for that. You could also drop in a 3500 from the 2005-2007 Buick Rendezvous (and others). Much more reliable engine, and more power, with better fuel mileage. Check out MilzyMotorsports. rich_e777 Posted March 16, 2021 Report Share Posted March 16, 2021 Its the L82 3100 SFI, the Cutlass didn't get the redesigned 3100 found in later model GM cars but its basically the same engine.
