Coolant leaking out of the radiator side of the timing cover. Pour water in and it runs right back out. Looking at changing the gaskets to the cover but cant find enough info on removal. The book I have dosent really cover it too well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Study pulling the harmonic balancer, you'll need a puller (they're cheap to buy) with the right size bolts and a torque wrench for the cover and balancer to put them back on.

This is a leisurely day's worth of work. There's misc stuff in the way too but it's not rocket surgery once you get in there.

Replace the coolant elbows while you're there, and inspect the little section of wiring harness for the ckp & cms while it's out to see if it could use a little refurbish. A new front main seal wouldn't be a terrible idea either.

The only sucky part is the oil pan gasket references the bottom side of the timing cover so clean it up and goop it really good.

Vasoline? Do I really need to pack the gears to get oil pressure? If so what am I to pack full? Just the gears, or the all the oil ports on the timing cover? I figure too much vasoline might not be a good thing.

I think they're talking about the oil pump. Manual says fill it with petroleum jelly for a dry prime. I would say screw that. It's not a clean rebuild, just take the cover off, replace gaskets, and go. You might introduce more problems than you fix opening up the pump.
