Sounds like 2nd gear has failed.  Might be seals, might be hard-part failure.

If the gear selector is in 2nd, from a dead stop it will shift from 1st to 2nd as it should, but the RPM drops a bit as if the TCC was engaged.  It will then stay in second until I stop.  When I almost come to a stop, the engine RPM drops a bit as if the TCC was engaged.  When I come to a full stop, it goes back to 1st gear as it should.

I changed the Throttle position sensor a couple of days ago and that didn't fix it either.

Finally figured out what the issue was...it was the vacuum modulator.  A $22 part from AutoZone held in by one bolt easily accessable on the transmission right under the air box.  So glad to have it back up and running again!

That's awesome!  You've probably saved yourself a thousand or more bucks.  Great news and I'm sure your having fun revisiting the vert again!

I took my wife to dinner tonight in the vert.  It was a nice evening and we had the top down.  Took the long way home just to drive lol.
