98 Dayton 500

Looking for one!!!

Sunroof a plus but not required. More stock the better, but no complaints.

Can meet up anywhere in country.

I love CL, have you tried it?  I did a random search and found 6 of them scattered about.  Does it have to be a 98 model year, I found only 1 out of the 6 that is a 98.  I can post them if you want.

Amazing that the three you posted are all sunroof cars, when only 200 out of 2000 had them. Also, one of the 2000 at least is dead because my brother had the seats from one in his 98 GT back in the day.

That 98 here is rough on the inside. You'd have your work cut out for you getting that cleaned up, but as long as the seats are ok, it could be done. Probably has a smell though.....

Thanks jimmyfloyd!  I thought it would be the other way around since most normal GP's like the GT's and GTP's have sunroofs it seems.  I didn't realize that the sunroofs were not common.  I didn't do a real deep search yet but these are just the ones that popped up.  I hope Sly will find one he likes.

That 98 is kinda rough on the inside, I agree but the body should be solid being an Arkansas car.

That beautiful silver car second one down - he's got a Viper, Maserati, and a 911!  Maybe he's a dealer.

Just a little more info. In 1998, they made 1500 Daytona 500 Pace Car Editions, and 200 of those cars had sunroofs.

In 2000, they made 2,000 Daytona 500 Pace Car Editions, and sunroofs were standard. There were actually two cars (out of those 2000) built without sunroofs, and they were modified and used as the actual Pace Cars in the 2000 Daytona 500.

I was not aware that you could see a car number on the window sticker. I will have to check that out. I know that my window sticker includes the "Daytona 500 replica package" even though it is the real car.

Great stuff to go through

Keep looking for more, I had one that was eaten by hurricane Harvey months back. I was moving to Cali and that storm came through

That one is my favorite, pretty sweet with those rims and it looks pristine.  I hope you get it and let us all know - post pics too.  Are you close to that one?
