Charged me $75 and they ended up flushing the heater core and heat is working again. Guessing most of the coolant in the car has been replaced. It's 10*F outside so there is NO way I'm working on that shit in my driveway. ive conceded to living with it for now, it at least gets bearable. $75 isn't bad though, I figured about twice that, which is why I haven't looked into it (04 was I think $140 when o had it done). Granted, I've never purchased a car from him but I've taken all of my Pontiacs to him and he treats me and my family very well.
