Poor Heat - 2007 Grand Prix GT

So, after much deliberation, I took the stupid car to the dealer down the road from my house.  Charged me $75 and they ended up flushing the heater core and heat is working again.  Guessing most of the coolant in the car has been replaced.

It's 10*F outside so there is NO way I'm working on that shit in my driveway.

ive conceded to living with it for now, it at least gets bearable. $75 isn't bad though, I figured about twice that, which is why I haven't looked into it (04 was I think $140 when o had it done).

It's reasons like that (the $75 charge) why I go to the dealer I do.  Granted, I've never purchased a car from him but I've taken all of my Pontiacs to him and he treats me and my family very well.  Granted, he did go to school with my dad and dad has purchased some trucks from him so that helps! haha.

Seems like it would be easy enough to use an old cut off garden hose to put some pressure to a heater core. If this is a 3rd gen thing maybe it would be a good idea to do every couple years on them before the weather gets crapoopy.

I was actually suggesting that maybe that generation should get a core flush as PM. They must have smaller passages or something.

Dealer said same thing. He said this time of year more than a few grand prixs of my generation show up needing flushed.
