pwmin Posted October 29, 2014 Report Share Posted October 29, 2014 The switch seems to work just fine as it lights up and all that, but I'm not getting and significant heat from my seat heaters. What would be the best thing to look at to try and figure it out? Is there a common problem with these? It had a code when I first bought it, but it had other BCM codes that went away when I put a proper battery in it and I erased all of them. Schurkey Posted October 31, 2014 Report Share Posted October 31, 2014 First Guess: Seat heater element popped; when you remove the upholstery you'll find that it's melted/burned some of the seat foam, too. Dorman makes replacement seat heater elements for selected vehicles. I installed a Dorman unit into my '03 Trailblazer. Of course, you could trace the wiring including the fuse and switch; but I'd just jam a test light into the seat heater connector and see if it lights up.
