4T60E swap from '93 Bonneville to '94 Park Avenue.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to swap my 4T60E from my '93 Bonneville to a '94 Park Avenue. The Buick's transmission housing broke just before the differential so I cannot rebuild it and I am scrapping/parting out my Bonneville.

Since they both have the 3800 coupled to a 4T60E I thought it would be a straight forward bolt-in swap but the wires are different colors and the plugs are different colors, one grey and the other is light blue.

So two questions I am hoping someone can help with:

1: Can I rearrange the pins in the male plug to work?

or

2: Can I swap the transmissions internal wiring harness to make it work?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, 91-93 are one set of transmissions, 94-95 are another and 96-97 are another, all vary in design despite being put in the same cars. The main change between a 93 and a 94 is the PWM is now electric instead of mechanical. I beleive the TCC solenoid also changes. If your car is a 94, you're better off getting a 95 trans out of another H body. Car-part.com is very useful in that matter.
