[TD]Installed double dog-bone engine mounts, also added three 5/16 chains bolted between engine and subframe.

[TD]Had an incident at skyview drags, blew both the ac mount bracket and the single upper dogbone brackets off engine...motor came up and dented the hood :frown: disconected the throttle cable and knocked my master cylinder resivour out of the master cylinder. When I race with her now I tighten the chains down, makes for a very flat launc

The mounts didn't break, the brackets broke. one by the thermostat housing and one behind the compressor, I used a ratchet strap to hold the motor down, to drive it home:thumbsup: The mounts are cast alluminum, I would like to make new ones out of steel but the chains are working good!

Heh good thing you have the skill and knowledge to engineer temp motor mounts that fast. Do you have any pics of the broken parts?

Not much skill, one of the other racers had an old ratchet strap in his trailer, he gave it to me, I hooked it to the rear lift bracket, over the blower, and attatched to the rad support. Had to wire the hood shut, wouldn't shut with the ratchet strap assembly. Very slow ride home, I was shittin' bricks every time a semi passed me, the hook was fluttering badly.:)
