xennith Posted April 19, 2011 Report Share Posted April 19, 2011 (edited) Last October my friend and I each bought identical 1993 Cutlass Convertibles with 3.4 DOHC. Both built in 9/92. Mine has 161k on it now. This is my 3rd w-body, I don't know what it is about this car but I love it! I had an '89 cutlass coupe in high school and in January I sold my 2003 GP. This one is in great shape aside from a few small dings on the body. I've already had all of the seals replaced in the engine so hopefully I won't have many oil leaks anytime soon. I've spent some time in junk yards replacing the interior parts that weren't working and I replaced the pads in the steering wheel to get the horn to work again. My friend loaned his to someone that didn't check the oil and therefore messed up the engine, the replacement arrives today! Now I'm off to the helpful mechanical threads. I may end up with second one ! also I meant to post pics of the other w's I owned. I wanted a vert when I had my last cutty in the late 90's. oldmangrimes Posted April 20, 2011 Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 I'm assuming the other car's plate says "DIS 1"? People probably get confused when the cars aren't next to each other. Mine is red/black/black also, but a 95 with the 3.1. I need to take some new pictures, now that I've patched the quarter panel rust.
