you wouldn't think it would be a tall order for GM to design something that doesn't leak or need gaskets on a regular basis. The escort we own, 170k, never needed one gasket. Whats so hard?

^ TRUTH!

on the 95, the only thing even close to internal, or a gasket, that's needed replaced was a water pump, and that was back in like 1997/8. since then, no engine issues at all...

Gasket set, includes ALL gaskets(Headgaskets, valve cover, LIMG, UIMG) $180, I believe.

I have not got bolts yet...

Have you gotten bolts yet Buck? The dealer told me something crazy like $200 for headbolts... I'm praying they're wrong...

on rockauto, they are 15.33.... i really hope that isn't each

They dealer told me 16 of them were $8, 12 of them were $4, and the other 4 were like $6... I can't see how it can have 32 headbolts though... The parts guy said I'd need all 32... I've never heard of a car needing that many headbolts though..

there should be 16 headbolts iirc

Yes sir, You are right and I had just recently figured that out. Everyone seemed to want to sell me 32. I was like REALLY?! PASS!

Does anyone know if I could get the revised bolts anywhere but the dealer?

I can't remember but it was either $215 or $250 BUT that was for 32. So 110 or 125

I took this one before I took the fuel rail off, so pretend that is off too

How much did you end up paying Buck for the revised set?

Haven't got them yet

I was going to wait to start until I got them, but my mom isn't driving the car anyways so I figured I might as well start.
