If/when you do sell her will you part out some things or will everything come with? I may be interested in some of your custom work if not the entire car.

I don't blame you, every time I considered selling my CS I know it would only end up at Pull-A-Part and that just isn't acceptable to me. No one else will ever care for either of our cars like we will. Besides in 10-15 years you will probably regret selling such an uncommon car.

I know if I do sell it it will end up junked in a few years and I would have a hard time replacing it. This car is pretty much 95% rust free. Hard to find up here. I would be better off keeping it and driving it around occasionally.

Now you talking me into keeping it. Darn.

I should make a list of members, their cars and save posts like that to bring up every time one talks about selling their long time owned W-bodies. Unless it is near mint condition any 10+ year old car is about 3 years away from a junkyard to the typical American consumer from what I see. Its such a shame to go to JYs and see all the mid 90`s cars just stacked like trash, all the Cadillac's, Pontiacs, Lincolns, etc. I`d love to have parked in the lot just trashed to make more cheap ass washing machines.

Yeah I`ll probably attempt to talk everyone out of selling their cars even if I really want them or parts from them for myself. Especially an Oldsmobile, I found out a few days ago that my grandfathers very first car was a late 30`s to mid 40`s Olds sedan and he really opened up talking about it. Since my CS was technically my first operational car it sort of makes it a little more special to me. (Ford Escort was a POS and never had it in my name.)

i am also on the keep train... no way in hell are you going to be able to replace it easily(unless it becomes one of the forum cars that likes to get traded back and forth) and if you have any inclination to pick up another in the future, you would be very far ahead to keep this one.

Sweet:thumbsup:

You are the go to guy for UB3 videos. Type in "UB3 cluster" in google search and your YT vid is the first two that pop up. I still remain vigilant for one to come up for sale, the guy on ebay wont put up a pic of his supposed units and I believe he is just selling the base cluster.

I haven't driven this car too much with the digi ub3 yet. I noticed the oil pressure is not working. All I need to do is swap out the sending unit.

Even my thread for how to make an adapter is on the top search result of google. That is cool.

Just makes me wanna go for a drive. So do love hearing a LQ1. Just something about the sound they make.

Those engines do make a glorious sound when you put your foot down.

I'd take care of it until you wanted it back . . :-)

You would have this car looking great.

ehh...... you COULD replace/add to the anti-glare layer and color it, but you will lose some brightness and possibly some clarity of the digits.

Thought about it, but meh. I like the green better, but it wouldn't match. I still don't even know if it can be made to fit... I should get one

That does remind me... I didn't get the connector from the donor car when I got my UB3 from a user. The 94 one doesn't fit... Anything I can do?

I have 20k miles to figure that one out... so about a year and a half. I refuse to slap a 143k odometer on a 119k car and Robert doesn't want to mess with it if in case he messes up.

Soooo I'm in a shit hole basically.

It's pretty simple. I wish I had the time/materials to sit around and make 10 of those adapters. I haven't been to a junkyard in over a year now, I wonder if 1st gens are still plentiful there. Last time I went it seemed to be mostly gen 2. Stuff from the early to mid 90s wasn't showing up as often.

Should give him one to play with first just incase

Logic says yes, the fact that these things are more hard to find than a unicorn says risk it. That's why I said, I'm in a shit hole.

Also, the 94 clip doesn't go in, it won't go in the grooves.

I just shaved off the tabs on the pigtail on my 94, they're just spaced different or something. I should grab one if I find one again and play around. There were a few last time I was out downstate

When I added the 88-91 ub3 to my 94 I had to get a 94 cluster to pull the connector to make a pigtail. I don't think I could the connector to just plug in.

I do have a digital ub3 at home as well as my original 94 cluster. I'll compare them when I get home.

Yeah you were supposed to go back and get 2. One for me (for Robert), and one for rich e777 lol

That's why I said I'd pay you for your trouble.
