So here's what I did for my Summer Project ... (Warning 56kbps people)

Dash, Integrated CarPC ... that is all. I'm not done with the bezel though ... It needs some good ol' TLC, sanding and such. I know it looks like crap ... but that's temporary [didn't want people to be able to see behind the wood-grain dash cover]. Let me know what you guys think.

Wow! If the car wasn't this old (No offense) I'd say that was factory!

Thanks ... No harm done. I quite aware my baby's old. She reminds me everyday I drive her ... but that's nothing some good ol' Polydent and Metamucil can't take care of, lol. Just making some modifications to deter me from cheating on her and maybe purchasing another vehicle ... I've got my eye on a 1996 SVT Cobra as we speak, so she's a little jealous.

I went to type that and had trouble wording it so that it wouldn't sound too mean. But mine's a '92 also. I always say it's the condition, and not the age that matters.

That's what I figured.

Most factory speedometers are fairly inaccurate.

IIRC, don't you have a ton of suspension modifications as well?

Yeah,

- KYB GR2's Front and Rear w/ Mounts and Boots

- Bir-traxed [98+ Monte Carlo Front Lowering Springs and Birchmount Rear Leaf Spring]

- Addco Rear Sway Bar [actually come to think of it ... that's not even installed yet, lol]

- Energy Suspension Poly Inserts

- Adam's Rear STB

- 2nd Gen Regal Front STB

- 93' Regal Support Braces

- Cutlass Supreme Wheels wrapped w/ 225/50/16 in the Front and 235/55/16 in the Rear

I believe that's it.

So true. The only real problem I have is the crappy GM paint. Plus the owner I bought it from let it sit in the sun for almost 5 years ... oxidation like a mofo.

Not bad!

I had a carputer setup but sold it as I didnt use it too muchn with a new job I got a while back. My drives to work lasted a whoppin 2 minutes tops

I remember you had one. Actually you sparked the idea for me to do the same to my vehicle. My system boots up in 30 seconds tops (from hibernation). Not too bad.

Did you swap the UB3 into it?

If so I guess I'm number 2, that swap is such a pain with no wiring diagrams.

and i like what you did with the car mod wise, you have any more pics?

Yeah, my main problem was boot time was about 1min 15seconds (yes, I timed it ) I was using a SFF PC instead of something more integrated. I had to use a damn DC to AC Invertor. I would love to do it again, but this time use an appropriate powersupply and build the PC specifically for a car. Man, i do miss that sweet 7" Lilliput touchscreen  :willynilly:
