madmax
On a '88 GP 2.8, can someone tell me where the PVC and MAP sensor are located. The parts identification sticker is missing in the engine compartment. Thanks. Max
JPaganel
The PCV valve is in the rear valve cover. MAP I'm not tooo sure about, but assuming it's like my 3.1 it sits on a bracket on the back of the plenum.
Robby1870
Yeah, the MAP is on the back of the plenum on a bracket that holds the charcoal canister purge solenoid. The MAP has one 3-prong green connector to it and one vacuum line, the charcoal canister purge solenoid has one red connector and two vacuum lines. Baddflash
The PCV is in a retarded spot IMO and is difficult to change without taking off upper plenum or cracking the pcv hose in which case you have to remove the plenum anyway to replace the hose you just broke. Bad personal experience with PCV replacement. On some older 2.8L the MAP is mounted on the passenger side firewall or on the back of plenum like others said.
