inner tie rod/end replacement, what to expect?

me neither! When I did mine back in early 2006 I don't recall them being crimped on, however they probably were and I never noticed it, but the new ones that I have on have been holding up just fine ever since and I never crimped them, I've probably put some 40,000 or so miles give or take on the car since I initially posted this thread too.

 

also, there was no way in hell I was fitting that tool back in there

 

so necessary, not really, should it be done probably.

A ha. Well thank you all. I'm not opposed to using the crimping took, I was just curious why its recommended. I'm gonna get all the tools "loaned" to me from autozone. Something to do after easter :lol:
