clear tail lights or tinted tail ???

I wonder if clear lenses & reflectors make turn/brake lights more difficult to see in bright sunlight? Could reflected sunlight glare be much brighter than the red light and make it invisible? Not sure if that's an issue but don't care much for the look.

How would the new LED taillights, now used on big trucks, look on cars? They are bright and seem to go from OFF to ON quicker when flashing. I would like to see automakers design cars with standardized 3"-4" round holes for taillights. Taillight lenses are damaged in minor impacts, leak water, and are expensive to replace.

Or the clear lens aftermarket manufacturers could start the next hot trend by making LED arrays to replace lens/reflector/socket assemblies.
