  1. I am trying to downsize and concentrate on fewer projects. Over the next few weeks I would like to get rid of at least one car and a bunch of parts. I do not have sufficient posts and probably never will to list stuff in the for sale section. Thanks to ziggity76 and digital outsider my original post has been moved here. I am still learning how to navigate this forum so bear with me on replies and posting pictures. The car is a 1992 Z34 getrag 284. It is basically complete but has been sitting outdoors for about 15 years. I bought it used in 1997 and at that time it had 90,000+ miles. My son drove it to high school and in college. When the original engine started knocking we installed a used engine from a 1991 Z34. After a while it started knocking also - I think the Centerforce clutch we installed has too much side thrust for the crankshaft to handle. It now shows over 130,000 miles, but I really can't verify how accurate that is since I am not the original owner. I want to offer it here first before scrapping it since there is probably a need for some of the parts. It would have to be trailered. I want $400. If there is no interest I will sell for scrap. I am in Delaware. The car has a good title. I also have miscellaneous used and NOS parts (mostly used) for this car that I collected over the years. I am not ready to list them just yet. The used parts include a couple of bumper covers, body cladding, console, taillights, interior trim, automatic transmission, original engine. NOS parts include correct GM front struts, the long gray woodgrain dash trim, a couple of splash shields, license plate holder/back up lights, coolant expansion tank. Want to sell these as a package. Will place a new post after I inventory, take some pictures and am able to set a price. Kind regards, Adolph John Rydzewski, Newark, Delaware
  2. Desperately seeking a getrag 284 5-speed. Mine is out and not repairable without 5th gear and syncro. Looking for parts or whole trasmission. Beautiful car dead in the shop for 8 months!!
  3. I have a 284 in my convertible 95 vert that I have lost 2nd gear. My Tranny shop is scouring the country looking for another 284. Anybody know of one? Tom (435)760-3498
  4. Updated 11/12/17 Sold the pair of 284's and the clutch, and just picked up a 3rd 284 the complete the kit. Here a few parts I have for sale. Prefer local pick up on big stuff but may be able to arrange shipping for serious buyers. Cash or Paypal+3% for fees. I am located in Warwick, NY. All prices are OBO. I have about 3 cars worth of parts if you are looking for something I don't have listed. Thanks and sorry for some reason my formatting is all screwed up... Link to photo album TGP stuff - can email pictures Rear cloth Grey bucket seats, no rips or tears $100 HUD $45 DIC $45 Steering Wheel buttons $45 TGP Body kit, missing one fender flare $120 Front and Rear Bumpers $100 each Getrag 284 Swap Kit - $1250 OBO Spent the past few years piecing this kit together for my Pace Car but I've decided to go another direction with the build. Anybody that has looked for these 284's knows they are quite a challenge to find because they only made a few thousand of them. These are very strong transmissions that will hold up just about anything you throw at them in stock form unlike the 4t65, Jeff Kuntz made 584whp on one of these. 1 Getrag 284 transmission, the transmission has 90k miles, came out of a driving Z34 that was getting the engine dropped into a fiero. Shifts through all the gears 1 FBody 3800 Flywheel cut down to clear the 284 bellhousing. Has surface rust but could be cleaned up with a scotch brite pad or resurfaced 1 Timing Cover with the correct Buick Reatta oil filter adapter to clear the CV joint, the oil pressure sender does clear the power steering pump. 1 Set of 284 Shift cables 1 Pair of equal length axles for a 97 and up GP, Impala, etc (one has the 284 stub shaft in it) 1 Factory Shifter (not pictured) 1 First gen pedal box if its not going into a 97+. This will not fit a 97+ car Special Edition /40th Trunk and Spoiler - $160 1 Trunk is primed and ready for paint, spoiler has been sanded down to repaint. Studs are all intact and no dents in the trunk lid. 1 is the factory 40th color, no dents or damage, paint is in good shape Special Edition /40th Hood Vents - $100 No cracks in the plastic, and include drip tray to keep engine clean and water out. I can cut these out with a section of the hood to mock it up on yours in the right spot if you'd like Special Edition /40th Hood - $190 (Not Pictured) Hood is silver in good shape with no dents or rot. Will need to be repainted as clear coat is peeling. I may also have an extra hood insulation liner for it. 98 ZZP 1.0 PCM - $55 Brand New L36 upper intake manifold - $50 Clevite 77 TriMetal Rod Bearings - $30 CB-1443P Set of Silver Fat Fives - $150 Tires will need replacing soon, also have a set them polished with good tires if interested
