  1. Ok question. I am going to be upgrading to 42# injectors, they have the older style clips. I got a set of clips and a known good set of older 97-03 L67 injectors. I soldered and heat shrunk the clips on and put in the older style injectors into my 04 comp g. Now even using the 97-03 injector flow rate table or the 04 injector table I still see 10 to 1 afr on my wideband under quarter throttle. Any higher and it just pegs out super rich. My question is has anyone else ever done this and got it to run good? And what should my injector table look like to make these work?

  3. When I turn on the A/C or the heat I can hear the blower turning on (quite loudly if it's on 3 or 4) but no air comes out of the vents. If I put my hand near defroster vent it feels slightly cold or hot depending on the setting but no air coming out. Any ideas on how to fix the issue? Thanks.

  5. okay so im putting a new HU in my 1995 cutlass with the uq3 6 speaker sytem. i got a sony cdx-gt705dx and i got the scosche gm035 wiring harness. i got everything wired up and first i try the set up without the factory amp connected. and only the front left speakers works and not very well...then i try with the amp connected and i get front left speaker working and only low end signal with lots of background noise in the two rears. front right speaker nvr comes on. i know that these speakers are wired all weird and the ohms are way over spec for this HU is there any easy way i can get these working with out having to rewire all the speakers? also should i keep the rear speakers wired up with both sets of connections or should i unplug one. is there a way i could rewire the factory amp plug to complete the speaker circuits normally?
  6. Just got my first w-body almost a week ago. It's a '99 GP se with the L32 engine option. 156K on the clock with a completly rebuilt tranny:biggrin: Got rid of my Toyota Land Cruiser and pulled the trigger on this one for $1,600. Replaced the front struts and mounts and will be doing a couple of checks on her to put her back up to snuff and hopefully do some upgrades. This car drives awesome. It reminds me so much of my last sports car!('85 IROC-Z) I had back in '99!!!! Times have changed and with a toddler and a 3mo old baby a sports car is not my best choice right now, but with this car I can play, have 4 doors, a huge trunk for the double stroller and I can upgrade!!!!! Have some sick thoughts about this car and hopefully I'll be able to do them as time progresses. Will be lurking and asking questions so please bear with me. Thanks and stay safe guys and gals... I picked it up from the original owner, little old lady... its been garaged most of its life, runs great .. and not a spec of rust on the car (its been here in Tucson since day 1) If I can find a nice set of 18" wheels I may put them on.. I have a speed shop here in Tucson, its a mod I could live with and swap back if I needed to as well easily enough. But the car is so original and un molested I would hate to change anything too far and ruin it. If I start driving it more and can put a babyseat in it correctly, I may install a HID headlight conversion too, since its all plug n play. THe car does need struts, they are pretty worn out.

  9. 92 Cutlass Supreme needs some rear struts, and I know KYB's are favorites around here, but they are very expensive. Can pick up two Monroe OE Spectrum(Sensatrac) struts for 28.99 each shipped. The Monroe strut mate mounting kit 902941 Napa branded for $17.00 each shipped. Two complete rear struts with all new parts for $92 to my door sounds like a good deal to me. Just have to assemble the strut mate kit, and it will be a fully assembled ready to mount strut. What you guys think? I know KYB has a good reputation, but money is talking.

The plastic belt retainer cover on the bottom of the door has ripped on both doors and I'd like to find ones in good condition and in charcoal.   11. I have a 92 Bonneville SE. I have steering wheel controls, tape deck, and not enough power. I want to install a factory GM radio (that I won't have to go to the dealership to get reprogrammed) that still uses my steering wheel controls, has a cd player, and had some power. Any help is appreciated
  12. Would anyone happen to have a set of 2nd gen Grand Prix tail lights they are willing to part with? I haven't found any decent ones at the junkyards. After market or factory does not matter so long as they don't have any cracks.
  13. The fix is to click the X to close the Announcement about the W-Body Nationals! I haven't used the forum much this year but today I came on and got 2 PMs, went to reply, and it drove me absolutely mad because every time I tried submitting my reply, it would go to which is just a blank page! I tried everything, changing my Editor Settings to Basic or Standard, different web browser, nothing worked! Finally I realized the "dismissnotice" was talking about the W-Body Nationals announcement notice, and I manually clicked the little X to dismiss it, and BAM! Now everything works!! Hope this helps someone else, Josh

Grabbed a 2nd Dash Cluster and wanting to replace all the bulbs with Saudered on LEDs with Resistors between the + connection and the bulbs since they run about 3v vs 12-14v the car sends to the stock bulbs. Looking for a diagram of the board to find out which leads at positive and negative Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've got a '95 Olds Cutlass Supreme with an L67. I have cooling fans from a 2000 GTP on it; however, I'm a bit baffled about the way they operate. Both fans run on the low-speed setting. On the high speed setting, only the fan on the passenger's side runs. Is this correct? I checked the voltage on the driver's side fan motor, and it drops to 0 when on the high speed setting. It seems like both fans should run on the high speed setting to me (although I do not know the way the system works). I have had cooling problems with this thing since I put it together last August. It stays cool as long as it's not idling still for >20-30 min. I just replaced the original 3.1 radiator with a radiator with 3 additional rows (when counting vertically). The core of my original radiator was 34 rows tall, while the newly installed one was 37. The radiator shop I purchased the radiator from claims that these 3 additional rows provide the same cooling efficiency with the stock 5/8 inch core width as a radiator with the stock number of vertical rows (34) with a 1 inch core width. This new radiator did help the problem, but I would still rather have both fans running on the high speed setting. That would ameliorate it completely I think. Have you guys with stock early 2000s GTPs observed the way the fans work? Thanks, Andy

I have a new sub frame for the rear.. Thanks in advance. This is my first car so there's some sentiment value to it... should I man up?
  17. I have a set of 3.4L heads and cams from a 1993 Z34 with about 72k miles on them. I pulled them to do some work to them but ended up never getting around to it. They were pulled off of a working engine. I'll try to grab some pics later.
  18. Hey guys, so I went to a junkyard today and noticed that this '95 GP has 215/60R16 tires in the front, and 225/60R16 tires in the back. Is this how they came stock? My own '94 GP was this way when I bought it. Is it okay to run this setup? I've never owned a first gen so this is new to me. Thanks!

  20. so, the 5.25 4-way sony units I put in the MC in 2008ish were immediately crap, enough so that I sent the majority of the volume to the rear 6X9s just so I wouldn't have to listen to the front speakers lose all of their shit whenever something sub-150Hz came their way. the factory 5.25 were actually noticeably louder than what those were, along with not sounding like they were abused for years. so, I'm looking at stuff in the $30-40 range and I'm lost. I'm not going to deal with trying to place components in this car, there isn't anywhere I could place a tweeter and not have it look so out of place and still be effective at directing sound. I kind of doubt that i'll want/need them to be amplified to have at least the same apparent volume as the rears while sitting up front, so i'll probably end up with an inline cap("bass blocker") as a high-pass filter with whatever I end up with. so, $40 or less 5.25 composite speakers that aren't going to cause more aggravation than they're worth?
  21. Need the part # for the rubber vacumn connector=(4 preferably or 3 lines 1989 & up?-) that sits on top of the intake plenum near the maf sensor. this is for a 1988 olds cutlass with 2.8 engine. FWD model. This rubber part has 3 plastic vacumn lines coming from it. Thanx

    Lx9 swap

    hello to all im getting ready to swap in a Lx9 3.5 from a 2006 pontiac g6 its going into a 2000 buick century i already got new metal intake gasket set n throttle adapter n waiting on external crank trigger n also to take care of the map sensor plug n two wire temp. sensor n cam sensor plug im using fuel injector wireing harness from 2005 impala 3.4 which takes care of all the connectors ok now my car use 3 wire temp. sensor but 3.5 use 2 wire n so does the impala harness it should work fine right? n im very excited cause i do believe tht im going be first to swap in Lx9 into buick century but let me kn please also i already got the Lx5 throttle body n im using the 3.5 upper still but im modify the fuel reg. bracket

  24. hey guys, my 04 grand prix started to sway a few weeks ago around 80-100kmh my tires had some play so i changed bearings ball joints tierods and sway links and even bought a new set of tires, im one of those guys with the infamous abs traction control messed up as well so im starting to think maybe now i got everything new and tightened up that im feeling the sway because traction control is off? or am i maybe due for some struts? they seem ok they dont klunk when i hit bumps and they release to original position quickly when i push down on the car, any ideas?

Hey Everyone, New member here but not car Forums...My nephew just got his Grandma's Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 1997 Anniversary 4 door...3.1 lire and just gone over by a mechanic so it'll be safe once the Neph get's his license in a few months... I hope to learn and hopefully share will be a bit of a re-learning curve as I have more experience with the newer GM products and will have to wake up the brain cells to how GM used to be again... Bill
