    Cooling fan operation

Hi My name is Scott. I signed on to this forum to read about this topic. I have a 97 olds cutlass supreme 3.1 My manual says the 2nd fan comes on at 235f (wtf and whats the point lol) Last year I jumped the 2nd relay to the first. both fans worked for about 100 miles. Then I blew the air meter? 10 amp fuse. I replaced the fuse and it blew rite away. I then removed the jumper and everything worked. While both fans ran the car stayed at 190f anywhere on a 90 degree day.The A.C. vent temp also dropped about 8-10 degrees. I could run the a.c on the low speed fan and had 44-5 degree air out of the ducts. Does any one have any thoughts on how to correctly jump the fan 1 and fan 2 relays? and is the 2000 gtp fan motor the biggest one or is it a bigger fan then the 360mm(14.2 inch) olds fans? thanks- scott

1997 olds w body radiator fans

Hi I would like to know if anyone has rewired the radiator fans so both come on at the same time? I tried to jump the fan relays so when #1 relay came on #2 also started. I do not think I did my jumper wires from #1 to #2 correctly- has anyone done this correctly? I would also like to know if there are?/ were different size fans or fan motors for the w body. Please dont tell me why I should not do this- thank u scott

1997 olds cutlass supreme valve body

Hi I need to remove the valve body on my 97 olds cutlass supreme. I have a P1870 code, I can see some increased engine rpm, increased water trans temps. The fluid did not burn and there is not much metal in the pan.I am told the accumulator bore is worn out. What is best way to remove this valve body? thanks scott
