You should put all those HUD units on top of your dash and take a picture. Post it on FB and try to convince people you actually have them hooked up!

    94 Cutlass vert

Welcome to the forum. Is this your first w-body? A Cutlass Supreme convertible was my first, a '95. Still have it, along with a '91 coupe. Lots of good information on this site.
  3. Super. Thank you. I hope you are able to sell the car. I'd just hate to see those trim pieces end up in the yard...or the car for that matter.

    Front suspension fail

Super job getting her back on the road! Really glad to see the time and effort pay off for you!
  5. If your beloved vert doesn't get sold and you decide to scrap it, there are at least a couple of parts I'd like off of it...the outside B pillar trim on both sides. If I could buy them from you, they would continue life on my '91 coupe.

    Junk Yard Thread, Never ending

Manic, I don't know how the pre-production designation normally works. Is it probable that these 3 cars, being pre-production, were never sold to the public and have long since been destroyed? And ditto on the Sandrift/blue sedan...of the 3, that's the one I'd want.

Interesting. The first two are sedans (VIN's 6th character = 5). The last one is a coupe (VIN's 6th character = 1) Looks like they were all base (S) models too (VIN's 5th character = H)

Probably left-over LQ1s that were brought to the line to be put in '96 cars and were never meant to go in the '97s.

Dang! Are you able to see the actual Carfax records, or only how many records are associated with each car? Obviously it would be good to know when they were last registered. Unfortunately, with such a small number of records for each car, I'm doubting they are still on the road. Worst case, razor blades. Best case, in a collection.

    W-body.com Southern meetup 2019

Just for reference, I added a map with a red star marking the location of everyone who has responded to this thread. It might help determine a location that's as centrally located as possible. Just food for thought. I'm still up for Nashville, but could go any direction if it makes it closer for someone else. I'll update the map based on the location in peoples profile as they respond in the thread.

For a direct plug and play, it needs to come from a 94-96 GP. The HUD units from 94-96 and 97-03 are physically the same size, look just alike, and fit the same way. They even have the same wire connection, BUT the pin outs are different, so it’s not plug and play. The other major difference is that the 97-03 HUD display shows the radio station info. However, not all Pontiac radios will output the signal to the HUD unit. So yes, the 97-03 HUD can work in your car, but if you want to keep it simple, go with the 94-96 unit. Man, that thing looks amazing. I wish I knew how long it was up for auction. That was a crazy price. Probably THE eBay purchase of the year!

    WANTED: White "STE Turbo" Nameplate

That's the best looking badge of any W-body, hands down, 100%, don't even try to convince me otherwise! Jesus!!!
  18. This might be something good to snag just in case. Still has the plastic sheet on the face. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-1991-1992-1993-CUTLASS-NOS-POWER-CONVERTIBLE-TOP-SWITCH-NOS-OEM-OLDSMOBILE/382571825234?epid=1223378937&hash=item59130ec852:g:A50AAOSwsshbqEse:rk:17:pf:0
  19. They look OEM to me too. Got to see them when I pulled my monoleaf yesterday One of mine was worn.
  20. Sure will. Just FYI, the stock top mounts are reused on the coil overs so they bolt up with the same two bolts. What I really want to photograph is the removal of the monoleaf. Maybe even take a video of the releasing of the tension on it.
  21. Welcome. Is your Z34 white by chance? Post up some pics in the new members section and tell us a little about it. http://www.w-body.com/topic/47477-lowered-the-front-of-my-cutty/ is a good place to start for the front. I used this on my first wbody and am getting ready to do it to my second one. https://www.w-body.com/topic/55347-lowered-the-rear-of-my-cutty/ shows the parts list needed for building coil overs for the rear. Getting ready to do this again too, but this time I'm going to take more pics and provide a more detailed write-up. It's super easy.
